Becoming OG certified Feb 2011

This is my first attempt at blogging so we'll see how this goes. I am about halfway through a year long course to become a certified Orton Gillingham tutor. The learning curve has been tremendous. I signed up for this course along with four colleagues knowing I wanted to learn how to use this multi-sensory method. Little did any of us know the amount of work or committment that was required. The good news.....it didn't take long before I was able to use the strategies in my classroom AND I've seen solid student progress. That's the exciting part. I'm interested in hearing from other Orton Gillingham tutors. Anyone?
